The Client

As a leading engineering services provider in the AEC sector, our client required assistance with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) design and drafting for one of their largest projects - a 10 000 square-foot library space.

• Designing and drafting the air distribution system

• Conceiving and drafting necessary ductwork

Project Challenges

The Solution

To complete this large project in a timely fashion while providing high-level quality, our team worked through the following process -

• First, we received AutoCAD drawings of the project and more information and drawings in .pfd format.
• Next, we worked with the information provided to outline our portion of the project from start to finish and set up goal dates of completion of each step to be sure the project stayed on target.
• Key team members were assigned to important tasks, including a draftsman, MEP designer, and a QC lead.
• The team used AutoCAD2021 to develop a pipe routing plan and utilized McQuay PipeSizer, McQuay DuctSizer software, to complete the MEP drafting.
• Files were sent for review and then adjusted based on the client's final feedback.
