The Client

The client is a swimming coaching company for babies and toddlers located in the Netherlands, New Zealand, Canada, and Ireland. For quarter of a century, the client has taught parents how to train their babies to swim. The clients' swimming coaches are the highest-trained baby swimming coaches in the world. They are also the only ones who have obtained the national governing body's (Swim England's) highest teaching qualification for under 5 year olds.

Endorsed by England's national governing body for swimming (Swim England), they take more underwater baby photography than any other baby swimming coaching company globally.

The Requirement

The client schedules a photo shoot at the end of every term, specifically when a baby is between three and nine months old. They also provide toddler, sibling, and family photos (sometimes using a dipographer who swims with the baby in front of a professional photographer in their underwater studio).

The client needed a partner to manipulate these images (background, water, baby etc). The images were required for their website to showcase a preview of their expertise and coaching methods to potential customers. The images would also be given to parents who desired photos of their child swimming.

Challenges Faced by O2I

The primary challenge faced during the project was -

• A high-level of design detailing was required for the background water creation and limb manipulation

O2I's Solution

On perusing the client's need, O2I offered a free quality test (trial). The client sent O2I four folders with nine images each via Dropbox. O2I allocated two resources for one week to complete the trial.

We recreated the background, manipulated other elements like the babies' limb. Each image required different levels of manipulation - light, medium, and heavy. A quality check was scheduled for two days and the trial proved successful.

Based on this success, the client visited O2I's delivery center in India and signed a full-time contract to manipulate 45,000 images per month (collected from all their branches).

The Result
